Training  Dates, Duration & Mode

 

Start Date: Any day you choose 

                                   (You can join anytime, but the first 25 people who join this training form the "Founding Members" and get additional benefits such as LIFETIME participation in online Q&A calls even after they complete the training and monthly private time with Shanthi)

End Date for Digital Training: 16 months or however long you want

               (The "Founding Members" cannot finish the digital part of their course earlier to the completion of 16 months. You can work on the modules at your own pace and finish in 2, 3 or even 5 years. It is up to you There is NO definite end date. The videos are accessible to you for life.) 

Duration of  Digital Training: You can take however long you want to.  

                   (From the time you register for the Yoga-Teacher Training, you will be receiving new material every week for 16 months. But you have LIFETIME access to the course. So you can take 2 or 3 years to complete the modules before you attend the in-person training)

Further Online & In-person Training: 2 Months or whenever you want to do the in-person training 

 

Duration of  Total Training: 18 months to however long you want

Location of the In-person training: Will be announced next year

                 (Every year starting 2019, it will happen in several places multiple times in a year, based on the location of the trainees. So, you can choose to attend any of these, whenever you have completed your digital and online course. There is complete freedom)

Frequency of Training: 1 hour video sent to your inbox every week, with assignments to work on

(You don't have to rush to keep pace with the videos or assignments. You can work at your own pace. The videos will NOT disappear after a week. They are available to you for LIFE.)

Frequency of ONLINE Q & A: Once a month

 

The DIGITAL program is officially open. You will receive your first pre-training video a week from the day you register. If you are one of the first 25 to register, you will get to enjoy the benefits of a Founding Member.

The entire Yoga-Teacher Training program constitues  8 Modules of the EMPOWERING System, where the word EMPOWERING is an acronym.

 

It is explained as follows:

OUTCOME FROM MODULE 1:

You will have the TRUE understanding of Yoga, and will be laying for yourself a strong foundation for a conscious & empowered living and leadership.

Understanding the origins and history connects you to the very purpose of Yoga as lived and passed on by Yoga-masters thousands of years ago.

This will empower you to not only live Yoga in your life, but preserve and pass on this science of Yoga in its authentic, pristine and purest form.

You will understand how any action plays out in the world with the cause and effect process.

Thus you will save yourself from negative Karma (negative action) of inauthentic and unscientific understanding, and teaching of Yoga which is common these days.

Additionally, you will be doing good Karma (good action) of preserving the science of Yoga intact for the future generation.

SCIENCE OF YOGA:  BREATHING FOR GLOBAL CHANGE

OUTCOME FROM MODULE 2:

Breath is life. Breath affects body and mind. Yet it gets the least attention from many Yoga practitioners. Here you’ll understand the basics of conscious and empowered breathing for health and inner peace.

You’ll learn to increase your lung capacity through various Yogic exercises.

You’ll be empowered to control your mind through breath.

You’ll learn to use breath to heal your pain in the body.

You’ll understand the force that controls the entire universe and the human body. You will learn how to control it through the medium of breath.

In short, you’ll gain access to the master controller in you.

SCIENCE OF YOGA:  EATING FOR GLOBAL CHANGE

Evolving to Conscious Eating, Assessing current eating habits, Creating Individual Conscious Eating Plan, Detoxification and Yoga 

OUTCOME FROM MODULE 3:

 

Food is usually associated with physical health, and is rarely considered to be associated with mind. Most people, Yoga-teachers included, are not aware that it is part of Yoga, even though authentic Yoga-texts ALWAYS mention about food conducive for conscious and empowered living through Yoga.

Here you will understand how food in general and specific items that you may be currently consuming, impact your mind-body Wellness. This may awaken you to the possibility of minimizing them or completely avoiding them.

You will learn how to cook at least 8 food items that are nutritious, tasty and Yogic. You will take with you recipe to prepare them over and over.

You will learn some Yogic practices that will improve digestion and help in detoxification.

You will take a look at what you are eating currently and layout a step by step plan to evolve to conscious eating. You will have the opportunity to openly commit to making at least 2 changes in your eating.

SCIENCE OF YOGA: MOVEMENT FOR GLOBAL CHANGE

OUTCOME FROM MODULE 4:

There is a huge science to Yoga postures. Unfortunately, most people learn and teach it like fitness exercises missing the whole point. People spend years trying to perfect the Yoga postures, not understanding that they are only MEANS to an end and NOT end themselves.

There is a misconception that you will get more benefits by learning more postures and by doing complex postures. It is the lack of understanding of Yoga itself that reflects in the incorrect understanding of postures.

You’ll learn here a small set of postures but with utmost quality and thoroughness.

You will learn top secrets for mind mastery through body and body mastery through mind.

You can go deeper into the postures through mind power. You don't need pills or heated room to become more flexible. They are all money-making gimmicks.

The powerful practice of sun salutation is practiced incorrectly; Besides this, most variations of sun salutations miss important positions in the practice and are done like fitness exercise.

These eternal values are the answers to the restlessness, hatred and violence that are gripping the modern society. Everyone talks about world peace. We can turn to these for achieving the peace first within, and then without.


People wrongly think of the rules, discipline and values as infringement on their freedom. Here you’ll understand the science behind following each of these for your own happiness. You’ll learn through practical examples and stories how some people have applied these in their lives.


Through discussion you’ll learn how to apply these values in your own life. You’ll have the opportunity to commit publicly so that you can begin your own evolution journey.

In this module, you will identify your LIFE PURPOSE and have A DIRECTION to your LIFE.

You'll learn practical tools to MANAGE STRESS, OR ANXIETY and have ANGER always UNDER CONTROL. You'll learn techniques to easily come out of DEPRESSION.

You will learn the SCIENCE OF HAPPINESS and make your life CALMER, HEALTHIER and HAPPIER.

SCIENCE OF SAMSKRITAM (SANSKRIT): CREATING VIBRATIONS FOR GLOBAL CHANGE

OUTCOME FROM MODULE 7:

Most Yoga and chanting circles do NOT understand the significance and science behind the Yogic language of Samskritam. They also do not understand the negative Karma (negative action) taking place as a result of the abuse and misuse of this language. This is because, they do not seem to understand the science behind vibrations and what might result if unintended vibrations are produced and taught.

 

Here you’ll learn the necessity to learn the sounds of Samskritam properly and pronounce correctly the common spiritual words that are widely used even in the non-Yogic circles such as “Dharma”, “Mantra”, and “Avatar”.

 

Learning this language gives power, prestige and authority to a chanter and to a Yoga and spiritual teacher. It connects you to the vibrations of the ancient masters, who pronounced these words the exact same way as you would be correctly saying.

 

The vibrations produced by it improve health, calm the nerves and cure diseases. Children learning this in young age will gain the ability to master any other language.

OUTCOME FROM MODULE 8:


Here you’ll understand how to create your own personal practice for a conscious & empowered living using all that has been learned in the past modules. You learn to live Yoga every moment of your life, and it becomes your way of life. You’ll learn the proven methodology to share it with others in the community through conscious & empowered leadership.


This is VERY DIFFERENT from typical Yoga teacher training programs where much emphasis is given to Yoga postures ONLY. Even if other topics are touched upon, they are NOT addressed in detail in terms of application in daily life, but are studied simply as topics to be covered.


You will be part of our “Liberate Yoga Liberate You” movement. You will be liberating Yoga from its limited understanding by people, and in turn, the liberated Yoga will liberate you from the limitations of life. In all, this module of the training program will give you a solid understanding of this ancient science. You will know how to impart Yoga as a science of life, NOT as exercises.

You experience living in a Yogic atmosphere, something you can learn to incorporate in every moment of your life once you go back home.  We'll check your Samskritam pronunciation here.

You’ll work with partners for the postures and breathing practices, observe each other and give feedback.

You will create your lesson plan for 12 sessions here, so that your teaching becomes easier once you receive your certification.

You will seek clarification on materials before taking final exams.  

You will take the written and practical exams during this time.
